the glass nest

This website is currently a work in progress, please bear with as it gets revamped!

I particularly enjoy the inter-disciplinary nature of conservation, which combines my interests in art, science, craft, history, research and writing. I approach my work methodically, tailoring my conservation approach to the 'problem' in question, while maintaining high levels of craftmanship. I am familiar with industry standards and guidelines, such as the Corpus Vitrearum guidelines for the conservation of stained glass and Historic England's Conservation Principles, Policies and Guidance, allowing me to work ethically with the objects in my care, in accordance with best practice. As an ICON committee member, I benefit greatly from the experience and wisdom of my fellow committee members, who constantly introduce me to new methods and techniques. I am a strong writer who can produce clear, consise documentation that is accesible to a wide audience.
